About This Site

This site's mission ...

There's a saying that all lawyers, especially those practicing in large firms, are solo practitioners who merely share office equipment. I think there is some truth in that. But recently the office equipment has started demanding more of our attention, if only because it is more expensive than it used to be.

At the same time, legal technology is also more exciting than ever before. This Web site is intended to try to track some of that excitement, and to highlight how the sharing of office equipment--the collaboration and pooling of information--can relieve some of the drudgery, dissatisfaction, depression and despair that burden many people in our profession.

So just use legal software properly and you'll never have a difficult client again! No, just kidding. MAKE MILLIONS AT HOME STUFFING ENVELOPES WITH LEGAL TECHNOLOGY!! No, no. Technology won't win cases, garner new clients, or land lucrative deals and great publicity. But it might allow us more control over our time; cut down the paper mountains on our desks; offer deeper connections to clients, thus solidifying some client loyalty in these treacherous days; and definitely reduce the reinvention of the wheel that swallows so much valuable time.
